SECOND WEEK

  EDU: 401.2   SCHOOL TEACHING PRACTICE - SECOND WEEK 

DAY 3-19/06/2023(Monday)

Today I reached school at 9:00 a.m. As this day was reading day,a special assembly was conducted by the SPC students of the school. At first  headmaster gave message to all students about the importance of reading. Then the upper primary  students conducted various programs like sharing about their favourite book, reading experience  etc. Today I had class for 8B, it was not a lesson plan based class. There I took physics topic, thickness of paper and diameters.Then I took a substitution class 8B ,there I completed the topic "Tiny particles and Matter "experiments were shown using potassium permanganate crystals and then which sugar. Students were attentive  and  interested to know more about matter. Then again I took a substitution class for 8A ,it was a Malayalam medium class there I engaged students in reading English story and then played memory game on some words in English text.I was able to manage my class as expected. After the classes I was very happy as student were  highly interested in knowing the topics. All of them like the experiments,so I decided to add more and more activities and experiments for my future classes. It was a very busy day all together.

DAY 4-20/06/2023(Tuesday)

I reached the school by 9:15 a.m. Today too, during the assembly some programs related to reading day was conducted. Today I had first period in 8D. There I took physics topic "Mass". It was a model based class, the topic was conveyed with the help of 5-E model .Before class I thought students may find difficult to adjust with the new way of approach, but students actually respond to all my questions. I was able to take class as expected then I took a substitution class  for 8B. During the third period I took chemistry topic "Change of state" and "DIFFUSION" I had a continuous class for 3rd and 4th period

 Diffusion was a model based class. Notes were given for students.  

DAY 5 -21/06/2023 (Wednesday)

Today I reach the school by 9:10. As it was St Aloysius day there was a special assembly conducted by 9 students. Headmaster also give a briefing about the school. 1st period I had class for 8, but being school days students will taken  to church for attending Mass  and only few students  were left back in class. We were  given duties to stay in given class till 12:30  I took the  charge of 8D , initially, i introduced myself and ask students about the ambitions and favorite subject. Then me and my students  engaged in cleaning classroom and for last hour, some mathematical calculations were taught to them, all the students were very cooperative and interestingly did the maths work. Afternoon we had lunch and left School by 2:00 p.m.

 

DAY6- 22/06/2023(Thursday)

As usual I reached the school by 9:10. Today I had only one class at 8B as my regular lesson plan class .I took the topic "Pure substance ", it was a model based lesson plan. Students were already aware about some differences between pure substances and mixtures. Using positive examples and negative examples in chart the concept  reached  the memory of children. Students were eger  to give more and more positive examples related to the concept. After my class I had a satisfied mind that children was very interested in learning the concept through new method. Afternoon I prepared for my further classes and involved in writing lesson plan and chart.

 DAY 7 -23/06/2023( Friday)

Today as  there was an educational strike conducted by ABVP we were asked to leave the school campus by 10:30 a.m.
